Dr. Beth Prosnitz is a sociologist who brings more than ten years of qualitative and quantitative research on social service and economic development practices experience to ILLUME. From a strong foundation of ethnographic, qualitative, and survey research, she answers questions about what guides various individuals’ economic decision-making. She is passionate about using research findings to build equitable social policies and practices. Beth is an accomplished instructor whose joy in teaching supports her human rights and justice research efforts. She supports those working to educate others on existing equity and human rights practices as a peer reviewer and editor. When she is not doing research, Beth is busy burying herself in plants, novels, and animal caretaking.
