The Analyst/Senior Analyst conducts thoughtful and rigorous research and analysis using methodologies such as survey research, statistical modeling, ethnography, and other qualitative and quantitative research methods. The Analyst/Senior Analyst works with direction from ILLUME’s project management team to successfully deliver rigorous analysis and expert consulting services to our clients. The Analyst/Senior Analyst contributes to data collection, data analysis, and reporting to support translating complex research findings into specific and actionable recommendations. The Analyst/Senior Analyst applies sound and appropriate methods to data collection and analysis while maintaining a critical eye to safeguard data integrity and project quality. This is a mid-level role at ILLUME that is a steppingstone between our Analyst role and our Managing Consultant role. This position blends hands-on research (surveys, interviews, focus groups, and more) and independent management of smaller projects. The Consultant will provide exceptional client services to ILLUME’s utility clients across a range of projects including energy efficiency and demand response program and pilot evaluations.

The Director is responsible for team guidance, leadership, and technical direction of ILLUME projects. The Director will draw upon their own deep expertise and the work and expertise of colleagues to successfully deliver thoughtful work and expert consulting services to our clients as well as contribute to ILLUME’s growth through marketing and sales.

The Principal Consultant is a key contributor to ILLUME’s future and growth, responsible for building, driving, and leading one or more of ILLUME’s Practice Areas. The Principal Consultant leverages their expertise to grow ILLUME’s market position and revenue in their area/s and to build ILLUME’s team to deliver this work.  This position requires strong consulting business acumen, team leadership skills, and strategic thinking. They must be self-motivated to excel and produce high quality work.

The Consultant/Senior Consultant applies advanced expertise in research and analysis to contribute to and implement research and evaluation projects using methodologies such as surveys, statistical modeling, ethnography, and other qualitative and quantitative research methods. The Consultant/Senior Consultant collaborates with ILLUME’s project management and analytical teams to successfully deliver rigorous analysis and expert consulting services to our clients. Consultants/Senior Consultants enjoy hands-on involvement in the “work” of all phases of research and analysis as well as guiding less experienced staff. Consultants/Senior Consultants have expertise in one or more research methodologies and industry experience in utilities, policy, energy efficiency, market research analytics, and/or energy program design and planning.
