Andrew Mielcarek is an energy efficiency professional who utilizes his extensive background in econometrics, statistics, and a range of qualitative and quantitative research approaches to support utilities in their evaluation, research, and planning efforts. For nearly a decade, his work has included leading evaluation efforts for a variety of behavioral, income eligible, new construction, and commercial and industrial utility programs, conducting traditional process and impact evaluations, as well as broader market assessments, and targeted ME&O research. He has led numerous program and portfolio evaluations and contributed to a variety of other quantitative and qualitative studies across all customer segment types and program structures. He is proficient in survey design and methodology, survey analysis, econometric modeling, statistical analysis, and a variety of qualitative research approaches. He builds automated tools and performs complex statistical analyses in R, is proficient in SPSS and Excel, and is continually developing his skills in Tableau and Power BI. In his free time, he can usually be found strolling through the woods or floating down a river with his wife and two sons (dogs) Loki and Ozzy.
