Marilla Yaggie is a data scientist and engineer with over six years of experience in the energy industry. Marilla’s passion is working collaboratively with her utility clients to find solutions through data analytics to address their challenges, goals, and needs. She specializes in quantitative methods for program evaluation, using techniques to clean, investigate, analyze, and present results from large datasets and evaluations in insightful ways. Marilla leads evaluations for residential demand response and load shifting programs that leverage a variety of enabling technologies including smart thermostats, connected water heaters, and battery storage systems. Through her work in this space, she has gained expertise in establishing experimental designs for evaluation, and in supporting the pilot program implementation process by using data-driven processes to identify issues in real-time. Outside of work, Marilla spends her time rock climbing in the Arizona and Utah deserts.
