Michael is a Senior Analyst with experience using both quantitative and qualitative research tools and methods to inform policy and program development and implementation. He is trained in facilitation and is passionate about bringing together diverse stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogues to achieve goals. Michael is adept in information synthesis and effective communication of complex issues to diverse audiences. Michael believes in the power of using data of many types to shape our understanding of our communities and to realize a sustainable future. Past projects have included collaborative drought planning to inform rural water provider’s policy, holistic watershed assessments, and a data-driven evaluation of a water conservation program. Michael lives for engaging in interesting policy issues, being outside in his garden or in the forest, cooking and eating fine food with his family, and working with fire and steel as a blacksmith.
