We’re Blushing!

Posted March 31, 2017 By Anne Dougherty Sara Conzemius

March has been full of unexpected good news. We are excited to share with all of you not one–but two–pretty fantastic acknowledgments we were honored with this month.Building this company over the past three years has been as exhilarating as it has been challenging. For Sara and I, ILLUME has been a labor of love, a dream, and the adventure of a lifetime. And, like all adventures, it’s all the more meaningful to embark on as part of a team. With our ever-gracious and energized ILLUME team members, our encouraging clients, and our talented partners, we feel rewarded every day. These accolades are just the cherry on top on an incredible three years!

Ivy Exec Inc ranked ILLUME on its 2017 Women-Led Businesses to Work For rankings. This is Ivy Exec’s inaugural list, highlighting companies that are innovative, disruptive, and have strong female leadership.
“We spent 18 months researching companies and interviewing CEOs and Partners across the United States.  We are incredibly proud to present those companies that made the final cut.” – Sara Farkas, Director of Strategic Development at Ivy Exec.  View our ranking information on our Ivy Exec profile here. In honor of the occasion, we put together a little video that captures who we are as a company, what we want to accomplish together, and why we do what we do. Enjoy!

At the 36th Annual American Advertising Awards, ILLUME received a GOLD ADDY for our website.  Our marketing team worked closely with the incredible Creative Slice team to develop something that truly expresses ILLUME’s unique voice in the industry.
After scrapping three different concepts just before production, we did some soul searching and found a brand concept and grown-up website approach that really spoke to our values. Filled with people we love, in a city we are deeply connected to, our website perfectly expresses the heart of why we do what we do – for the love of, and commitment to, communities. We couldn’t have done it without the love shared between friends and the tireless and inspired work of ILLUME’s own Dre Voelkel, who helped us realize our creative vision with exceptional art direction.
